I've Been Framed Again and Site Updates...
05/April/2009
This was one of those picture perfect weekends in
NYC, well Sunday at least. Great weather and great
shopping. At the flea market, I picked up a few
frames that are really lovely. An early 20th Century
Taos style, an early 20th Century Arts & Crafts
style and a mid 19th Century tondo frame with the
original hand blown glass. In the next few days, I'll
be updating the site with more paintings. Keep an eye
on the 20th Century Art page as it will soon contain
works by - C. B. Mayshark, K. Suyemura, D. Prensky,
M. Vinsun, A. H. Gorson. The sconces I picked up are
looking great. I removed the layers of dust and
stripped out all the old wiring. This was not fun. A
few cuts later from the porcelain fixtures and 100
year old wiring, they are now ready for polishing and
re-wiring. The elephant painting is, more than
likely, a Beal. It was de-assessioned by the grand
daughters up in New England and bought from an estate
up there. It's now been framed and is quite striking.
